Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is lawsuit funding considered a loan ?
A : No.
Lawsuit funding is a cash advance in exchange for a portion of the future settlement from your claim / suit.
Q : Is there a difference ?
A : Yes.
A loan is a debt which MUST be repaid. An Accident Funding Solutions cash advance is “non-recourse”, meaning it is only repaid if you settle or win your suit. If you do not – keep the money and you owe us NOTHING.
Q : What if I already took an advance with a different company and need more cash ?
A : No problem !
We can often provide funds even to plaintiffs who have already taken funding from another company. If you are approved, we will buy out the other funding company’s position, so that you can work exclusively with us and enjoy our great service and convenient terms.
Q : How much cash can I receive ?
A : This is determined case-by-case.
We base approvals and advance amounts on the merits of your case. We will advise you once we complete a review of your case, which could take as little as 12 hours from receipt of the requested case documents from your attorney.
Q : Will you be checking my credit ?
A : No.
We are not extending you credit, therefore no credit check is required as a condition of approval.
Q : What can I use the money for ?
A : Anything.
The cash advanced is yours and you can use it at your discretion. Pay your bills, rent / mortgage or any other living expenses.
Q : Do we fund medical procedures/surgery ?
A : Yes !
If your no-fault benefits or insurance coverage has been denied and you are in need of medical treatment or surgery, we can help. We will pay the healthcare providers directly so that you can get the medical treatment you need.
If you were recommended surgery please do not delay, contact us now to see if your case qualifies for surgery funding.
Q : Do I need to be employed ?
A : No.
Since this is not a loan and there are NO MONTHLY PAYMENTS, your employment does not play a role in our approval process.
Q: Once approved for an Advance, how will I receive my money ?
A: Several convenient options available.
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to get your money. Once your lawsuit funding application is approved, we will let you know how much we are able to advance to you. Once you accept our offer, we will prepare an agreement for you and your attorney to sign. Once the agreement is received by our office, we will send the cash advance directly to you by your preferred method. You can have it transferred directly into your bank account via a wire transfer or you can receive a check via overnight or 2nd day delivery.
